General Terms and Conditions for Events Organised by Live Nation Switzerland AG ("LN T&Cs")

I.             General Provisions

II.          Venue Rules of the Organiser

These general terms and conditions for events organised by Live Nation Switzerland AG ("we", "us", "organiser") apply to the purchase of tickets and attendance at events organised solely by Live Nation Switzerland AG or in cooperation with local organisers ("event"). When purchasing tickets for an event, the general terms and conditions of our official ticketing partners—through whom you acquired your event ticket—also apply. In addition, the venue rules of the respective event location are applicable.

By purchasing and holding a ticket for an event, you accept the applicability of these T&Cs.

I.       GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.     Purchase of Tickets

1.1. Tickets may only be purchased through our official ticketing partners, in particular Ticketmaster Switzerland AG (see www.ticketmaster.ch), Ticketcorner AG (see www.ticketcorner.ch) or other local partners. The general terms and conditions of the respective ticketing partner from whom you purchase the tickets (individually referred to as "ticket partner T&Cs") also apply to ticket purchases. The ticket partner T&Cs form an integral part of these general terms and conditions. In the event of any conflict between the LN T&Cs and the ticket partner T&Cs, the LN T&Cs shall take precedence.

1.2. We reserve the right to limit the number of tickets that can be purchased per customer. The maximum limit will be displayed or communicated to you during the ordering process. If a customer orders more tickets than the applicable limit, we reserve the right to have the ticketing partner cancel any orders that exceed this limit.

2.      Accessibility

If you have specific accessibility requirements for an event, please contact us before purchasing tickets so we can assist you. Otherwise, we may not be able to guarantee that your specific needs will be met for the event.

3.      Admission Rights / Protection of Minors

3.1.

hildren under the age of 14 may only attend concerts when accompanied by a legal guardian who also holds a valid ticket. Young people aged between 14 and 16 may attend concerts until midnight if they are accompanied by a legal guardian or a designated responsible adult ("authorised guardian"), and have parental permission—both the minor and the accompanying adult must hold valid tickets. Written proof of authorisation or permission must be shown at the entrance. From the age of 16, young people may attend concerts and musical performances until midnight without being accompanied by a legal guardian or authorised guardian.

In individual cases, different age restrictions may apply (e.g. due to local authority regulations, the venue’s house rules, or the nature of the event). Any such exceptions will be made clear during the booking process and on site.

A person can only be considered an "authorised guardian" if they meet the following requirements:

  • They are of legal age (18+),

  • They are mature and capable of responsibly supporting the child during the event,

  • They can ensure the child's safe journey home.

3.2.

To protect children, we reserve the right to deny admission to an event if, in our judgment, adequate supervision by a parent or authorised guardian is not ensured. In this context, we emphasise that rock/pop events are generally aimed at adults and may not be suitable for children. If parents or authorised guardians still choose to attend such events with children, they are fully responsible for the child’s safety.

Particular care must be taken to ensure children wear suitable hearing protection, and, where available, that seats are booked instead of standing places. Specific details for each concert can be requested from us.

4.      Organiser’s Liability

4.1.        The organiser shall not be liable for any kind of damages. This exclusion of liability does not apply to damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence by the organiser, nor in cases of ordinary negligence resulting in injury to life, body or health, or for the breach of essential contractual obligations. Essential contractual obligations are those that are fundamental to the proper performance of the contract and on which the visitor regularly relies and is entitled to rely.

4.2.        In cases of ordinary negligence involving essential contractual obligations—excluding injury to life, body, or health—the organiser’s liability is limited to typical and foreseeable damages at the time of contract conclusion or at the time of the breach. In this respect, the organiser is not liable for damages falling solely within the visitor’s area of risk.

4.3.        The organiser is not liable for damages or losses suffered by visitors due to burglary, theft, fire, natural events, or other incidents. The above limitations apply accordingly. The organiser accepts no liability for valuables.

4.4.        The above exclusions and limitations of liability also apply to the organiser’s legal representatives, employees, and agents, as well as their personal liability.

5.      Entering and Exiting the Venue

Before initial entry to the event site, tickets will be scanned or fully invalidated. The ticket must be kept with you for the duration of the event. As a general rule, once you exit the venue, your ticket loses its validity and re-entry is notpermitted. Exceptions apply, in particular for multi-day events. These exceptions will be communicated to visitors separately. In such cases, re-entry is only allowed if the original, undamaged ticket and, where provided, a wristband or exit pass are shown. Otherwise, there is no entitlement to re-entry.

6.      Security Checks

6.1.

On entry to the venue grounds and/or the event site, a security check including a body search and inspection of carried items will be conducted by security staff. The organiser may refuse entry in the following cases:

  • If the visitor is carrying prohibited items or substances (see section 6.4 and the venue’s house rules),

  • If the visitor poses a risk to their own or others’ safety or health (e.g. due to aggressive behaviour or lack of valid entry credentials),

  • If the ticket used for entry is invalidated or the visitor otherwise violates the T&Cs.

6.2.        We reserve the right to conduct spot checks during the event to ensure safety.

6.3.       We reserve the right to deny entry if a visitor refuses to leave behind items that, in our reasonable opinion, pose a risk or disturbance to other attendees or are listed as prohibited under section 6 or the venue’s house rules.

6.4.        Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

a) All containers, backpacks, and suitcases (except explicitly allowed bag sizes and contents – see “allowed items” list)
b) Drinks and liquids of any kind
c) Glass (including glass make-up or perfume bottles)
d) Helmets, masks (except standard hygienic face masks), face coverings
e) Firearms, cutting, stabbing, or other weapons of any kind
f) Saws, axes, hatchets, or similar tools
g) Fireworks, sparklers, flares, and any type of pyrotechnics (e.g. Bengal fire)
h) Chairs, stools, and other seating furniture (e.g. polystyrene cubes)

n) Gas canisters, aerosol sprays, hair spray
o) Drums, vuvuzelas, and other mechanical or electronic noise devices
p) Texts, images, or materials with discriminatory, inhumane, obscene, pornographic and/or racist content, or that infringe the rights of others

Bringing such items may result in denial of entry or removal from the event. Items listed under a), b), c), d), i), j), and k) may, if available, be stored in designated paid deposit areas (e.g. lockers or containers). The organiser is not obliged to provide such storage, and any available facilities are limited in number and capacity. The organiser accepts no liability for the loss of items deposited. Other prohibited items may not be deposited.

Allowed items include, among others:

a) Wallets
b) Keys

g) Disposable cameras
h) Pocket cameras

6.5.        If a visitor is refused entry to the event or removed from the event due to their own fault, there is no entitlement to a refund of the ticket price.

7.      Audio and Visual Recordings by Visitors Within the Venue

7.1.        Only compact cameras and mobile phones with camera functions are permitted inside the venue, and only for personal, non-commercial use. In particular, SLR cameras, cameras with zoom lenses, or any kind of video functionare not permitted. Video cameras and audio recording devices of any kind (e.g. tape recorders, MP3 recorders, voice recorders) are also prohibited.

7.2.        The organiser may refuse entry to the venue if the visitor is not willing to enter without the prohibited devices. Section 6.3 applies accordingly.

7.3.        All rights to audio and audio-visual recordings of the event are exclusively held by the organiser for the purpose of commercial use. No one may record, broadcast, and/or make publicly available any such recordings for commercial purposes without the organiser's prior written consent. This includes, in particular, distribution of such recordings directly over the internet.

8.      Consent to the Creation and Use of Audio and Visual Recordings

We may film, live-stream, and photograph the event and produce audio and audio-visual recordings, which may include images of the audience. By entering the event venue, visitors give their irrevocable consent, free of charge, to the use of their image and voice in photographs, live broadcasts, and/or audio and video recordings made by the organiser, its agents, or third parties in connection with the event. This consent includes the subsequent use of such material in all current and future media (such as audio and video carriers and digital distribution, e.g. via the internet).

This means, in particular, that visitors grant the organiser and its third-party partners/licensees the unlimited right in terms of time, place, and content to record their image, voice, actions, and/or statements in any form without separate consent and to reproduce, broadcast, make publicly accessible, and/or distribute them in any format and for any commercial or non-commercial purpose.

If we make use of this right to capture photos, audio, or video, you will be informed of such recordings again on site via appropriate signs and notices.

9.      Exclusion of Visitors

In the event of a serious reason—particularly if a visitor commits criminal offences on the venue grounds (e.g. assault, theft, drug dealing), sets off fireworks, or endangers staff or other visitors in any way (e.g. by crowd surfing or similar behaviour)—the organiser has the right to exclude the visitor from the event. If the organiser exercises this right, the ticket immediately becomes invalid. There is no entitlement to re-entry or a refund of the ticket price.

10.    Health Protection Measures in Connection with Infectious Diseases

10.1.  We are entitled to implement appropriate health protection measures in connection with infectious diseases as a condition of entry. These measures may vary depending on the applicable laws or official guidance at the time and will be announced in advance of the event.

10.2.

All visitors are expected to comply with the applicable laws or guidance from the relevant authorities and, where relevant, to follow the code of conduct, which may be sent to ticket holders shortly before the event and displayed on-site. This code may include the following measures:

a) Wearing a face covering (covering mouth and nose) on the event site and in the immediate surrounding area;

b) Observing hygiene rules (e.g. regular hand washing), other instructions set out in the code of conduct, and guidance issued by us, our event and security staff, or the venue management;

c) Participating in spot temperature checks, if such checks are carried out.

10.3.  We reserve the right to deny entry or remove visitors from the event if they fail to comply with the above measures.

 10.4.  Visitors are strongly advised to check our website, and the event organiser’s website (if applicable), for up-to-date health protection requirements before attending the event.

11.    Hearing and Other Health-Related Risks

Visitors acknowledge that music events may involve high sound levels, and by attending, they consent to this. It should also be noted that pyrotechnics, lasers, smoke machines, strobe lighting, or other special effects may be used during the event.

The organiser will only be liable for hearing damage or other health issues if such damage was caused intentionally or through negligence by the organiser or their agents, or if the organiser has breached their duty of care.

Visitors should avoid standing too close to the speakers; any designated safety barriers must be respected. The use of hearing protection is strongly recommended, especially near the stage.

For outdoor events, visitors are strongly advised to wear suitable clothing and footwear to protect against potential weather conditions.

12.    Handling of Tickets; Prohibition of Commercial Resale and Use

12.1.    Tickets must be kept safe and, once invalidated (e.g. after being scanned), are no longer transferable.

12.2.

nauthorised resale: Tickets are sold to visitors exclusively for private, non-commercial use. Any commercial or business resale of tickets is strictly prohibited. The right to sell tickets for commercial purposes lies solely with Live Nation and its authorised ticket agents. In particular, customers may not:

  • (a) Offer or sell tickets publicly via auction platforms (e.g. on eBay);

  • (b) Offer or sell tickets on Viagogo, StubHub, Ticketbande, or similar platforms;

  • (c) Resell tickets above the original price paid, except for a maximum 15% markup to cover transaction costs;

  • (d) Sell or transfer tickets to commercial resellers or ticket dealers;

  • (e) Use or allow the use of tickets for commercial purposes without prior written consent from Live Nation (e.g. in raffles, advertising, marketing, giveaways, or unauthorised hospitality or travel packages);

  • (f) Buy or sell tickets on behalf of others as part of a business activity (e.g. as an agent or on commission).

12.3.

Permitted transfers: A private transfer of a ticket for non-commercial reasons (e.g. due to illness or other personal circumstances) is allowed, provided that none of the unauthorised resale conditions in section 12.2 apply. In such cases, the customer may transfer the visitor contract and all associated rights and obligations to a third party, under the condition that:

  • (a) The transfer is for non-commercial reasons as described above;

  • (b) The original customer informs the new ticket holder of these General Terms and Conditions, and the new ticket holder agrees to be bound by them in relation to Live Nation.

Partial transfers of rights from the visitor contract are not permitted if the conditions in (a) or (b) are not met.

12.4.    Consequences of unauthorised transfer: Any violation of sections 12.2 or 12.3—subject to the potential imposition of a contractual penalty under section 14—will result in the loss of admission rights without compensation. This means the ticket becomes invalid, and the organiser is entitled to confiscate the ticket and any other admission credentialswithout providing compensation.

12.5.    We do not issue replacement tickets (e.g. in case of loss). If a ticket is altered or damaged, we reserve the right to invalidate it.

12.6.    Unless explicitly stated otherwise during the ordering process, tickets may only be cancelled in the event of cancellation or postponement of the event. Section 16.5 remains unaffected.

13.    Personalised Tickets

13.1.  Tickets are personalised during the ordering process (even if no name is printed). As the issuer of the tickets, we do not want to grant entry to every ticket holder but only to those who have purchased tickets from us or via a permitted transfer under section 12.3. If one contracting party has lawfully acquired multiple visitor rights for themselves and others under a visitor contract, the transfer occurs by the contracting party assigning these visitor rights to several third parties lawfully. Separate visitor contracts come into effect with the entering persons, including the full transfer of rights and obligations, only when all conditions of section 12.3 are met.

13.2.  To prove their identity, the customer must carry a valid, suitable form of identification at all times and present it on request to us and/or the respective organiser. By presenting the ticket at the event entrance (including via scanning), the visitor confirms they are authorised to attend the event.

13.3.  Upon request, the customer must provide information about all circumstances necessary to assess compliance with the transfer rules under sections 12.2 and 12.3, including disclosing the name and address of the purchaser.

13.4.  IIf tickets are personalised with a name (e.g. purchaser or individual personalisation) and the buyer is unable to attend the event, a re-personalisation of the tickets is required for transfer. This re-personalisation must be arranged through the ticket partner where the ticket was purchased. The conditions provided at the time of purchase apply to re-personalisation. Upon re-personalisation, the originally named person loses their right of admission.

14.    Contractual Penalty

14.1.  Conditions: In case of culpable violation of these Terms and Conditions, especially breaches of any provision in section 12.2 (a), (b), (c), (d), or (e) or 12.3 (a) or (b), we have the right, in addition to other measures, sanctions, and possible claims for damages under these Terms and Conditions, to impose a contractual penalty at our reasonable discretion against the respective seller. The appropriateness of this penalty can be reviewed by the competent court in case of dispute.

14.2.  Amount: The amount of the contractual penalty depends particularly on the number and severity of violations, the type and degree of fault (intent or negligence), efforts and success by the customer or ticket holder to remedy the damage, whether the person is a repeat offender, and in the case of unauthorised resale, the number of tickets offered, sold, transferred or used, and any proceeds or profits generated from resale.

15.    Arrival of Visitors / Parking / Allocation of Areas

We recommend travelling by public transport. Visitors are responsible for their own travel to the event. Parking is at the visitor’s own risk. Illegal parking is prohibited and will be prosecuted by authorities. Vehicles may only be parked in approved parking areas or car parks. Escape and rescue routes must be kept clear of any obstruction at all times — especially from parked vehicles.

16.    Cancellation / Postponement / Program Changes

16.1.  An event may be cancelled. Please therefore check in good time before travelling on our website www.livenation.ch whether the event will take place as announced.

16.2.  Additional rules for festivals: Program changes may occur at festivals. In case of cancellation of individual artists (or groups), the organiser will endeavour to provide suitable alternatives. Visitors have no claims due to cancellation of individual artists (or groups). Access to event areas with limited capacity is only granted within the officially approved spectator limits. When capacity is reached, the organiser may temporarily restrict access without this entitling visitors to partial refund of the ticket price.

16.3.  Our liability in case of cancellation, interruption, postponement or other significant changes to the event is limited to refunding the nominal value of the ticket. Personal arrangements made by the ticket holder, including travel and accommodation related to the event, are at their own cost and risk. We are not liable beyond refunding the ticket’s nominal value, especially not for wasted expenses. The liability limitations under section 4 apply accordingly.

A significant change means a change that makes the event substantially different from what a ticket buyer could reasonably expect. A change of artist in a festival lineup or a change of supporting act at a concert does not constitute a significant change.

16.4.  If the event is postponed or there is a significant change, a refund of the ticket price is only possible if the refund request (and, if applicable, return of the ticket) is received by us or our ticket partners in due time. Such refund requests must be received no later than within a deadline set at the organiser’s reasonable discretion before the start of the replacement date or significantly changed event.

17.    Closure / Evacuation of Areas

For safety reasons, the organiser may temporarily or permanently clear and close certain areas of the venue without this entitling visitors to a partial refund of the ticket price. Instructions from the organiser or their authorised personnel and companies must be followed immediately, especially to prevent danger to life or limb.

18.    Weather Conditions

Events generally take place regardless of weather conditions. However, the organiser reserves the right to interrupt or cancel the event at any time if visitors are endangered due to weather. In such cases, visitors have no claims to full or partial refunds of the ticket price.

19.    Notices / Instructions

In addition, the current notices and instructions of the security staff on site, as well as the latest information on the official organiser’s website www.livenation.ch and (if available) the official event app apply.

20.    Changes to these Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to change, supplement, replace or otherwise modify these Terms and Conditions at any time with immediate effect. In doing so, we will appropriately consider the interests of visitors.

If Live Nation changes the Terms and Conditions, we will inform you about this on the website. The amended Terms and Conditions become effective for tickets already purchased six (6) weeks after this notification, unless you object to the change within six (6) weeks of the notification. Attending an event after the expiry of this six (6) week period without objection is deemed acceptance of the amended Terms and Conditions.

21.    Severability Clause

Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced, where applicable, by a valid provision that the parties would have agreed upon in good faith, considering the original economic intent of the invalid provision as closely as possible.

II.     HOUSE RULES of the respective venue

1.      Applicability of the House Rules

By purchasing a ticket or entering the venue grounds, the visitor submits to these House Rules as well as to the House Rules of the respective venue.

2.      Instructions from Security and Order Personnel

Instructions from official law enforcement or the organiser-appointed security staff must be followed without restriction at all times.

3.      Entry to the Venue

Entry to the venue is only permitted with a valid ticket or an entry wristband.

4.      No Entry for Intoxicated or Disruptive Visitors

Obviously intoxicated, drug-affected or similarly disruptive visitors have no right to enter the venue.

5.      Escape and Rescue Routes etc.

Escape routes, emergency exits, supply routes and staircases must be kept clear at all times, must not be used as seating, and must be crossed quickly.

6.      No Animals Allowed

Bringing animals into the venue is prohibited.

7.      Exclusion from the Event

Failure to comply with the House Rules may result in complete exclusion from the event. Upon exclusion, the ticket becomes invalid. There is no entitlement to re-entry or refund of the purchase price.

8.      Prohibition of Endangering Other Visitors

Any endangerment of other visitors – in particular through “crowd surfing,” “circle of death,” “pogo dancing,” or lighting fireworks (including Bengal fires) – is strictly prohibited and leads to exclusion from the event.
